BEECH GROVE In July 2010, First Christian Church began a sewing ministry with six donated sewing machines, sewing notions, and fabric.  Under the leadership of Pam Crodian-Miller, Nancy Jones, and Judy Hensley the sewing ministry goal is to help people learn to sew, free of charge.

Items produced include pajama bottoms, aprons for walkers, pillow cases, tote bags and projects brought in by the seamstresses themselves.  Eventually, the ministry hopes to create items for outreach purposes such as the aprons for walkers given to nursing home residents or shut-ins.

  1. I have always wanted to learn to sew and help in some way. If you are offering free classes again please let me know.
