Paul Remick Celebrates 60 Years of Ministry

Paul Remick, retired Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) minister and member of Pittsboro Christian Church, is celebrating the 60th anniversary of his ordination to Christian ministry. He was ordained on June 11, 1950.

Remick’s ordination took place at the Alvarado Church of Christ in Los Angeles, Calif., following graduation from George Pepperdine College. His first pastorate was to the Daleville (Ind.) Christian Church, beginning in August 1950. He continued studying and earned degrees from Butler University, the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, Pa., and Christian Theological Seminary.

He has served six congregations as Senior Minister in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana and served as Interim Minister in seven churches following his retirement in 1991. Currently he serves the Christian Church in Indiana as a Regional Elder. He and his wife, Mardell, serve the Pittsboro Christian Church as co-chairs of the Evangelism Committee.
