On Sunday, July 12, The Christian Church in Indiana, Light of the World Christian Church and Bishop T. Garrott Benjamin, Jr. ordained five ministers into the fellowship of Christian Ministry.  This is the second time five candidates have been ordained in a single service during Bishop Benjamin’s 40 year tenure at Light of the World.

Greetings and the Affirmation of Faith were given by Rev. ILUMBE Ndjongo, Principal Supervising Pastor, Mbandaka District of the 10th Community–Disciples of Christ in the Congo.

The new ministers are Rev. Oscar E. Banks, IV, Rev. Carla Hall, Rev. Lisa Johnson, Rev. Toneko Kayzer, and Rev. Richard Reynolds. Bishop Benjamin charged the new ministers to keep Christ first.

Rev. Banks will be an associate pastor, serving in Kingston, Jamaica. Reverends Hall and Johnson will serve at Light of the World. Reverends Kayzer and Reynolds will serve at New Revelation Christian Church, a new church start of which Rev. Reynolds is the founding pastor.

Regional Minister Rick Spleth prepares to lead the ordination prayer for Jeff Seger

Jeff Seger was ordained to Christian ministry at Stilesville Christian Church on January 11.  He has served as pastor to the congregation at Stilesville since 2007.

Seger is a graduate of Christian Theological Seminary.  He also served at Greenfield Christian Church during his time as a seminary student.  He followed his call to Christian ministry out of the Bloomfield Christian Church.
